Who were the Watchers and Nephilim in the Bible? 

"The Nephilim were on the earth in those days - and also afterward - when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown."

(Genesis 6:4: NIV)

Then one day the Watchers and Nephilim were gone and only Man remained. What happened?

The pictures circulating the Internet of giants are fake. They were created by the software program Adobe Photoshop Graphic Editor as part of a contest of graphic creativity on the photo contest site Worth1000.com. They were then lifted from the site and posted on the Internet. Before long, the pictures had gone viral, and for a time many Christians believed that what they were seeing was evidence for the "giants" as described in the Bible. They had been misled. Not only were the pictures fakes, but the Bible does not say that the Nephilim were giants either. - Fred Harding

The Hebrew word for giant is REFAIM not NEPHILIM. This has been mistranslated.

The case of evolution from ape to man is deteriorating. The only true humanoid historic man is becoming the Cro-Magnon, Neanderthal and Mankind. All of which may have be mentioned in the Bible as The Watchers, Nephilim and Man, all which would have now been proven through archaeological evidence to have existed in the same time period together. It is my opinon that all the others were primitive forms of extinct ape.

Cro-Magnons were so remarkable that the famous German writer Herbert Wendt (1914-1979) suggested in his book From Ape to Adam that perhaps man had degenerated.

Robert Oram, writing in his book Biology: Teacher's Annotated Edition, also noted that Cro-Magnons were also about 30% taller than humans that lived in the same time period so they would certainly appear like gods to the local population. Their heads, too, marked them out as supermen, with a cranial capacity of 1800cc  compared to that of a modern day human of 1450cc. 

As for Neanderthals (Nephilim), the hybrid children of the Watchers and humans, it is clear that they had inherited many of the traits of their fathers. They had a bigger skull than humans, their joints were larger, bones thicker and their rib cages were massive, demonstrating that they had well muscled chests. It is well established that Neanderthals' diet was primarily protein, consisting mainly of meat and fish. In addition, because they were hunter gatherers, physical exertion was as natural to them as was breathing. They would have probably looked more like a modern day body builder with a larger bone structure and a large head inherited from their fathers. Absolutely not like apes or knuckle dragging hairy men they have been portrayed in the early scientific community.  
According to Straus and Cave, in the Quarterly Review of Biology under the heading, "PALEONTOLOGY AND THE POSTURE OF THE NEANDERTHAL MAN". If a Neanderthalian were recreated in downtown New York shaved and dressed in modern day clothes, he wound not attract any more attention than the other folks there, "big guy with a big head". Remember the average height of humans was only about 5ft at the time they coexisted with Neanderthal and Cro-magnons. If one were to reread Genesis in the Bible or the Book of Enoch replacing the word Watchers and Nephilim or Giants in the Mistranslated King James Version, one may come to the same conclusion I have. Fred Harding lays it out great in his book, Nephilim Skeletons Found and does not seek to disprove the Biblical writings , but reinforce the truth.

[6:2] the sons of God/Watchers/Cro-magnon saw that they were fair; and they took wives for themselves of all that they chose.

[6:4] The Nephilim/Neanerthal  were on the earth in those days - and also afterward - when the sons of God/Watchers/Cro-magnon went in to the daughters of humans, who bore children to them. These were the heroes that were of old, warriors of renown.

[6:5] The LORD saw that the wickedness of humankind was great in the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually.

[6:6] And the LORD was sorry that he had made humankind on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart.

[6:7] So the LORD said, "I will blot out from the earth the human beings I have created - people together with animals and creeping things and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them."

And lawlessness increased on the earth and all flesh corrupted its way, alike men and cattle and beasts and birds and everything that walks on the earth -all of them corrupted their ways and their orders, and they began to devour each other, and lawlessness increased on the earth and every imagination of the thoughts of all men
